Parks and Facilities

Parks and Recreation is responsible for operating and maintaining the Town's park facilities, issuing permits for special events, picnics, and sports fields.  The ultimate goal of the Department is to provide recreational opportunities and programs for the needs of our community.  We look forward to serving your recreational needs.

Park Maintenance
Parks and Recreation personnel are present to ensure safety and adequate maintenance  of our facilities.  If you observe a problem that we should be aware of, please contact the Parks and Recreation Office at 520-229-5050. For after hours Parks emergencies, please call 520-241-7549.

Tennis Court
The Town of Oro Valley has one (1) Tennis Court available for public use. It is located at Canada Del Oro Riverfront Park. Tennis court use is available on a first come, first served basis.

An additional 31 lighted tennis courts are available:

  • 15 at La Cañada location (10555 N. La Cañada Road)
  • 16 at Oracle location (10000 N. Oracle Road)

Racquetball Courts  Available Sunday - Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Courts are located at James D. Kreigh Park.
Please be advised that the Racquetball Courts are locked and a reservation is required to receive the lock combination.

  • Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis.  Reservations may be made in person or by calling the Oro Valley Aquatic Center at 520-297-7946 during normal business hours.  (Office Hours:  Monday - Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)  The Town of Oro Valley's programs will receive priority scheduling.  Courts are available for public use during non-program hours.  Users will be required to read facility rules and sign a liability waiver before receiving the lock combination.

Metal Detecting
Permitted at the following Oro Valley Parks - James D. Kriegh, CDO Riverfront, Naranja and West Lambert Lane.
STRICTLY PROHIBITED at Steam Pump Ranch and Honey Bee Canyon Park.
