Cost and Ramada Amenities

Rates are $10.00 hour.  Minimum reservation time is 30 minutes. Ramadas are available during park operating hours: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Ramada reservations must be made between three (3) days and 6 months in advance.

Large Groups Reservations

Step 1.Complete this Ramada Reservation form for groups of 50 or more.

All reservations shall be made no more than six months in advance from the requested use date and will be on a first come, first served basis. Ramadas are available during park operating hours: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Step 2.Parks and Recreation staff will confirm date availability

Please allow for 48 hours (not including weekends) for staff to verify availability and respond to request.

Step 3.Pay ramada fee

  • Staff will take payment over the phone.
  • Call Parks and Recreation office to make any changes or cancel your reservation.
  • Parks and Recreation  - 520-229-5050  or  email: recreation@orovalleyaz.gov
  • Cancel any facility for no penalty before 72 hours of date of use.
  • Reservations cancelled within 72 hours of the date of use will incur a $12 cancellation fee.
  • No refunds/credits after the start date.
  • In the event of inclement weather, refunds/credits will be applied if the Parks and Recreation Office is contacted the day after the reservation.

The Facility Sales Receipt authorizes exclusive use of the reserved ramada(s) or permitted park areas during the approved date(s) and time(s). All ramada use is subject to the following rules and regulations. Failure to adhere to these rules and regulations will result in additional fees and/or suspension of reservation privileges. Pease read carefully:

• Reservations can be made six months in advance from the requested use date and will be on a first come, first served basis. Ramada rentals are available for $10/per hour and can only be reserved during park operating hours: 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Please be sure to include 30 minutes before/after your reservation for setup and cleanup.

• Ramada reservations/payments are now available on-line through the Town of Oro Valley website Parks & Recreation Ramada Reservations and www.playov.com . For events of 50 people or more, please contact OV Parks & Recreation: 520-229-5050, as a written request is required, outlining the specifics of the event and submitted to the Parks & Recreation Director for approval.

• Receipt must be in the possession of the user during the scheduled reservation date(s) and time(s).

• Tobacco use and vaping are not allowed. Deposit paper and waste in proper receptacles. User is responsible for the ramada and its condition during the time reserved. This includes the conduct of guests and any damages to the facility. Any damages made to the park facilities will result in fines charged to the user for repair/cleaning and may result in suspension of future reservation privileges.

• Jumping Castles are permitted at Riverfront Park and James D. Kriegh Park. The maximum jumping castle size is 18’ x 19’. Please contact the Parks & Recreation office (520) 229-5050 for a list of approved jumping castle vendors. (A special event permit is required for an approved jumping castle at Naranja Park.)

• Piñatas (1) per ramada are allowed at James D. Kriegh Park and Riverfront Park. Piñatas are prohibited at Naranja Park.

• Entertainment rides, water features and petting zoos are prohibited.

• Vehicles are restricted to the parking lot area only. Unloading and loading of tables, chairs, tents, equipment and food must be brought in through a parking lot. Access to the event area is prohibited by vehicles.

• Only 10’ x 10’ pop-up tents are allowed, and staking is prohibited. Tents should be secured by weights or rollers.

• Fires are only allowed in approved barbeque grills at Honeybee Canyon, James D. Kriegh and Riverfront Park. Additional ‘gas only’ grills are restricted to (1) per ramada and must be placed by the existing grill. Additional grills are strictly prohibited at Honeybee Canyon.

• No glass containers allowed.

• Alcohol consumption prohibited.

• Amplified music is allowed with written approval. Sound must be contained to event area.

• No public meetings, erection of signs, fences or selling of goods or services are allowed without first obtaining permission from the Town of Oro Valley Parks & Recreation Department.

• Any commercial use of parks, ramadas, fields, courts, amphitheater or pool areas, requires permission from the Town of Oro Valley.

• Food Truck Policy: A reservation holder may reserve an unlimited number of food trucks for $15/hour - limited to (2) Food Trucks per event. Please notify OV Parks: 520-229-5050. Food Truck Policy 2023

• Electric is available at most ramadas. The use of additional power strips is not advised.

• Cancellation Policy: Cancel with no penalty before 72 hours of date of use. Reservations cancelled within 72 hours of the date of use will incur a $12 cancellation fee. Contact OV Parks & Recreation: 520-229-5050; email: Recreation@orovalleyaz.gov with changes/cancellations.

Oro Valley Town Clerk’s Office (520) 229-4700

A food truck(s) may only set-up/sell at a Town of Oro Valley location if the following conditions have been met:

1. The truck has been invited by a person/organization which holds a valid Town reservation (i.e., field, ramada, pool, etc.). And the reservation holder has notified the Parks & Recreation Department of the intent to have a food truck and paid the hourly fee.

2. The truck must have a valid Town of Oro Valley Business License/Public Market license through the Town Clerk’s Office. Start the process here: Apply for a Business License

3. The truck must have a valid Health Permit from any Arizona County.

4. The truck must have passed a current inspection by any Arizona Fire Department.

Reservation Holder Responsibilities

1. The person/organization booking the food truck will pay $15/per hour (limit (2) food trucks per event) for the time present. Failure to inform the intent of the food truck to the Parks & Recreation Department may disqualify the reservation holder from future bookings.

2. Parks & Recreation will verify the food truck permit with the Town Clerk’s Office.

3. The reservation holder must ensure the area is clean of trash, cooking debris, or damage after the event. Failure to do so may disqualify the holder from future reservations.
