SAFETY RULES | FIXED RANGE SAFETY RULES

  • All range users are responsible for safety and safe shooting.
  • Field tips only. No broadhead shooting permitted.
  • Shooters are responsible for immediately correcting any unsafe conditions.
  • Shooting is permitted ONLY when:
    • all persons are behind the waiting line;
    • safe shooting conditions exist, and
    •  the all-clear signal is given for archers to approach the shooting line.
  • No running allowed on the range.
  • All shooting is to be into approved target butts only.
  • No shooting at unauthorized targets.
  • No hunting.
  • Keep your arrows in the quivers until you are given the signal to shoot.
  • Deposit all trash in containers and cigarette butts in appropriate receptacles.
  • Alcohol is PROHIBITED in Naranja Park.
  • Respect other shooters, their equipment, and other park users.

Walk-Around Safety Rules

  • All range users are responsible for range safety and safe shooting.
  • All course users are responsible for immediately correcting any unsafe conditions.
  • No shooting until the previous group is clear of the target.
  • No running allowed on any range.
  • Shooting is to be done into approved target butts only.
  • No shooting at unauthorized targets.
  • No hunting.
  • Alcohol is PROHIBITED in Naranja Park.
  • This facility is provided as a community benefit. Respect the environment, the natural setting and all users of the park.

Walk-Around Range Procedures

  • Handle equipment in a safe manner, with arrows always pointed towards to the target.
  • Aim at the target and draw your bow – no sky drawing.
  • Keep arrows in quivers until you are given the signal to shoot. Arrows may only be nocked on the shooting line.
  • Secure loose clothing. Remove loose items: Jewelry, strings, cords, etc.
  • Only use field or target points. No broadheads unless in an approved target butt.

Conditions of Participation at the Oro Valley Archery Range

HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

I am aware that in participating in any archery range activity/program, I agree to voluntarily assume the full risk of any and all injuries, damage or loss, regardless of severity, that my minor child/ren and/or I may sustain as a result of said participation.

I further agree to waive and relinquish all claims I and/or my minor child/ren may have as a result of participating in this activity/program against the Town of Oro Valley, including all its officials, agents, volunteers and employees (hereafter collectively referred to as the Town of Oro Valley).

I do hereby fully release and forever discharge the Town of Oro Valley from any and all claims for injuries, damages and/or loss that my minor child/ren and/or I may have which may accrue to me and/or my minor child/ren and arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with this activity/program.

I have read and fully understand the attached Oro Valley Archery Range Safety Rules and Procedures and have conveyed said rules to my minor child/ren.

I have read and fully understand the above hold harmless agreement and waiver and release of all claims. If registering online, my online agreement shall substitute for and have the same legal effect as an original form signature.

Checking the "I AGREE" check box on the Archery Range Membership Application, indicates that I hereby accept all the terms and conditions set forth in this Hold Harmless Agreement and release of all claims.
