Office of Professional Standards

The Oro Valley Police Department's Office of Professional Standards handles the process for hiring new personnel for the Police Department and all citizen complaints regarding Department personnel. The purpose of Office of Professional Standards (Internal Affairs) is to promote professional conduct of Oro Valley Police Department members and to assure that the standard for police services are maintained.

The Office of Professional Standards also provides citizens with an equitable and an effective avenue for redress of their legitimate grievances against Department members, protects Department members from false allegations and provides accused members with due process. The Oro Valley Police Department seeks to preserve its integrity and that of its employees. To ensure the integrity of professional conduct within the Oro Valley Police Department, procedures have been established and are followed.
