Chief of Police

On behalf of the men and women of the Oro Valley Police Department, I welcome you to our website. Oro Valley has a reputation for being one of the safest cities in the State of Arizona. This reputation has been earned by the commitment to excellence displayed by all members of the department. Oro Valley has grown from 1,500 residents in 1983 to approximately 41,011 today. The land area has expanded from 4.5 square miles to nearly 36 during the same time. By comparison, the department has grown from 5 commissioned officers to 100 commissioned officers and 31.7 civilians. Additionally, we have a volunteer group that is second to none. The dedication, vigilance and professionalism of all members of the Police Department provide for a safe and secure community for all those who live and visit in Oro Valley.
