Volunteer Opportunities

Help make our community a better place to live by volunteering. Oro Valley offers volunteer opportunities that benefit both the volunteer and our community. Volunteers provide expertise, time, energy and experience to projects, programs and tasks.

Oro Valley seeks to:

Offer ways to make a meaningful contribution to the operations of the Town.
Develop and nurture an effective volunteer base
Provide volunteers with a positive and pleasant experience.
Build community awareness of the operations of Town government.
Develop a closer ties to the community served.

Adopt-A-Road or Trail

The Town of Oro Valley’s Adopt-A-Road is designed to help beautify our roadways. By adopting a roadway, civic and other non-profit organizations help generate civic pride in their community, creating economic benefits to citizens of the Town.

Keep OV Beautiful

Keep OV Beautiful is a volunteer-driven program in which the Oro Valley community members work together to pick up litter and roadside debris. In addition to being unsightly, litter and roadside debris can be a safety hazard for motorists and is harmful to wildlife. Help keep our Oro Valley views immaculate by participating in the Keep OV Beautiful program.

Youth Advisory Council

Members of the Youth Advisory Council work to bridge age gaps in the Oro Valley community and serve as a voice for youth in the Town of Oro Valley government.

Boards and Commissions

Oro Valley Boards and Commissions create an opportunity for residents to be active in Town Government. Appointed members serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Town Council.

Citizen Volunteer Assistants Program (CVAP)

The Citizen Volunteer Assistants Program (CVAP) is an essential part of the daily operations of the Oro Valley Police Department. They provide assistance to the officers and community in several ways to include: fingerprinting, traffic control during special events and major crashes, Darkhouse checks, Dispose-A-Med events, National Night Out, and so much more!
