Town Manager's Office

The Town Manager’s Office efficiently plans and directs Town services. These services implement the policies, rules, and regulations as adopted and directed by the Town Council. The Town Manager's Office is also responsible for the implementation of the Oro Valley Peak Performance Program. The Town Manager remains accessible and accountable to the community as a whole by maintaining open communications with all of the residents and stakeholders of Oro Valley.

The Communications & Marketing Division division is responsible for providing the following services on behalf of the Town:

  • Publications (VISTA newsletter, Promotional materials (posters, brochures, programs)
  • Event planning and management

  • Graphic design
  • Photography and photo editing
  • Videography
  • Advertising, marketing and creative consultation
  • Issues management
  • Brand management
  • Customer service
  • Internal/employee communication

The Strategic Plan guides Town decision-making and resource management in pursuit of organizational goals. It is “strategic” in the sense that it provides guidance over a 2 year timeframe. The strategic plan will be reviewed and updated periodically by the Town Council and management to ensure that the goals, strategies and actions outlined herein remain relevant. Oro Valley will continue to have success because the organization is flexible enough to respond to local, national and global change.

The Strategic Plan is grounded in the “vision” expressed in the Council-adopted and voter-ratified Oro Valley General Plan. While the Strategic Plan guides short-term decision-making, the General Plan provides a long-term (up to 10 years) direction regarding the growth, development and redevelopment of the community.

In July 2018 the Town of Oro Valley introduced OV Peak Performance – an initiative aimed at improving daily operations, organizational efficiency, and internal and external customer experiences. The Peak Performance program helps Town of Oro Valley employees reach these goals by encouraging creative problem solving and continuous improvement in order to reduce waste and redundancy within the organization. 

The OV Peak Performance initiative helps Town employees create a culture of continuous improvement and with help from tools and training, focus on improving value through innovative new ideas and reducing daily inefficiencies within business processes.
