Oro Valley residents are known for their public engagement. To ensure public participation during the Town of Oro Valley’s public meetings while in-person attendance is prohibited, the Town has updated its procedures for public meetings.

Following are options for the public to engage in and watch/listen to the Town’s public meetings:

 Watch online
If you are interested in watching a live Town of Oro Valley public meeting online, and do not wish to make a statement or comment during the meeting, you can visit the Town’s “Meetings and Agendas” page on the Town’s website and click on the specific meeting (live or archived) you would like to view.

Zoom video teleconferencing
You can also watch the Town’s public meetings with the Zoom video teleconferencing application. For instructions on how to create a Zoom account or watch a Town of Oro Valley public meeting, click here.

Interested in making a public statement during a public meeting?
The audience at public meetings can submit a blue card to the presiding official for an opportunity to make a statement or submit a comment. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person attendance at public meetings is prohibited.

The public can make public comments using a telephone or with Zoom video conferencing.
Until the pandemic is over and the restrictions are lifted, the only way to make a public statement during a Town Council meeting is with the Zoom video teleconferencing application by joining the video conference or calling in to the meeting with your telephone.

If you are interested in speaking during the public comment section of a Town of Oro Valley meeting, you will need to create a Zoom account to dial in to the meeting, or use your telephone to call in to the meeting.

For specific instructions on how to Create a Zoom Account or Watch a Public Meeting on Zoom (which includes how to call in on your telephone), visit the Town’s website and click on “Meetings and Agendas” and then click on either of the two large buttons that say “Create a Zoom Account” and “Watch a Public Meeting on Zoom” and follow the instructions.

Interested in submitting written comments for a Town Council meeting?
If a member of the public would like to submit written comments to the Town Council for their consideration prior to the meeting, please email those comments to mstandish@orovalleyaz.gov no later than 60 minutes before the public meeting. Those comments will then be electronically distributed to the Town Council prior to the meeting.

If you have any questions, please contact AskOV at ask@orovalleyaz.gov or call 520-229-4711
