The Town of Oro Valley announced today that its Community and Economic Development/Public Works (CED/PW) building lobby will be closed for safety and ADA improvements beginning Thursday, February 6 until April 15. The CED/PW building, which is located at the Town Hall complex (11000 N. La Cañada Drive), provides services such as building permits, building inspections, stormwater maps, and planning and zoning information.

To provide uninterrupted customer service during this project, the Town has set up a temporary lobby for customers in the Hopi Room on the west side of the CED/PW Building. (Building 2 on the Town campus map below) Customers are encouraged to submit plans and documents via email, and if additional assistance is needed, visit the CED/PW building and look for signs leading to the temporary lobby.

Visitors meeting Town staff at this location should check in at the temporary lobby (Hopi Room entrance) and staff will escort the visitor into the building.

Construction crews and equipment may be present, so please excuse our dust. Public restrooms will not be available in the building during construction; however, public restrooms are available at the Town Administration building, Oro Valley Police Department lobby and the Oro Valley Public Library.

Improvements to the CED/PW building include:

  • Safety glass component
  • Small meeting space for development review
  • New front counter
  • Improved circulation and egress paths
  • ADA compliance
  • Ergonomic cubicles for staff
  • Additional organized storage
