OV community invited to participate in housing survey
Published on May 09, 2023
ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (May 9, 2023) – The Town of Oro Valley is inviting everyone who lives, works or owns a business in Oro Valley to participate in an online survey about the Town’s current and future housing needs. Your help is needed to answer questions like, “What types of housing does Oro Valley need?” and “What are barriers to homeownership?”
The Town is working with consultant WestGroup Research to conduct the survey, which opens today, May 9 and is available through May 31. In order to collect a statistically valid sample, the resident survey will also be conducted via phone; however, the online version is available to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate.
There are two separate surveys. The resident survey is for people who live in Oro Valley. The business owner/employee survey is for non-residents who work in Oro Valley or anyone who owns a business in Oro Valley (whether or not the business owner is a resident).
Each survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Individual responses will not be shared with other parties. For survey links, please see the SURVEY LINKS section below.
Once the surveys close, the results will be analyzed and compared to create a report that will be used to help identify the community’s housing goals and policies to create an actionable plan. The survey report and housing study will be available on the Town’s website later this year.
