The Town of Oro Valley’s Public Works Department announced today that it will close the Naranja Park parking lot from Monday, March 16 through March 27 in order to perform infrastructure improvements (grading and stormwater) and paving activities for a new parking lot to access the future playground in the park.
Access to Naranja Park (except for the Archery Range) will continue to be available from a temporary access road off Musette Drive at Tangerine Drive. Park users will need to park on the north or east side of the park’s multi-use fields. (See map for parking information).
Whether on foot, bicycle or in a vehicle, park users are asked to stay outside of the construction area (as indicated on the map) and to observe the posted speed limit (15 MPH) while traveling on the temporary access road in the park. The plan to reopen park access from Naranja Dr. and close the temporary access road off Musette Drive is slated for early May. The new playground will open in late summer 2020.
