On July 10, 2021 at 2:59 P.M. the Oro Valley Police Department responded to the intersection of Oracle Rd. and Hardy Rd. reference a motor vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation revealed a Fiat 500 traveling south toward the intersection struck the rear of a vehicle stopped at the intersection, resulting in two additional vehicles being struck. The driver of the Fiat, identified as Kathleen Marie Rich (50 YOA), was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. The investigation, to include if speed, distraction or impairment were factors, is ongoing.
