ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (January 13,  2021) – The Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) has received $124,474.00 of federal funding through the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (AZGOHS) to support the implementation of automated traffic reporting and forms program known as “Traffic and Criminal Software” (TraCS).  The funding will allow OVPD to purchase essential mobile scanners, printers and vehicle mounting solutions for all commissioned personnel.  The equipment will allow OVPD to transition into the Arizona Department of Transportation’s program currently utilized by other public safety agencies state-wide.

OVPD is committed to continually improving processes, efficiency and accuracy of the work performed by our personnel.  This initiative will help us achieve this goal.  We would like to thank AZGOHS Director, Alberto Gutier and his staff for their continued partnership and support toward this effort.
