Apply for New Meter Installation
You may call Customer Service at
520-229-5000
for application and payment submittal information.
In Person
Step 1.
Customer provides Customer Service with a building permit, all required meter fees and a completed
New Meter Installation Application Form (This form can be printed from the 'online' tab on this page.)
Step 2.
Construction Inspector either releases the meter for install or holds the meter installation until the area of installation meets the Water Utility's requirements.
Step 3.
Additional requirements may apply if applying for a Commercial or Irrigation meter. This includes a backflow prevention assembly. Meter remains locked off until Backflow has been tested and Permit fees are paid. All questions concerning Backflow Prevention will be directed to Water Quality Division at 520-229-5063.
Step 4.
For all other Water Meter related questions, please call Customer Service at 520-229-5000.
Mail
Step 1.

Submission of application may be either placed in an envelope and placed in the drop box near the Water Utility door or it may be submitted through the mail/FedEx.
Step 4.
Additional requirements may apply if applying for a Commercial or Irrigation meter. This includes a backflow prevention assembly. Meter remains locked off until Backflow has been tested and Permit fees are paid. All questions concerning Backflow Prevention will be directed to Water Quality Division at 520-229-5063.
Step 5.
