Bark in the Park

Oro Valley Parks and Recreation will be hosting a FREE community event for those with furry family dogs at home. Join the fun on Saturday, September 28^th from 5pm-8pm at Steam Pump Ranch for Bark in the Park. Bring your family, friends and doggies! The Dog Costume Contest will have on-site registration the day of the event. Entry is free!

Event Features:

meet adoptable dogs
eat at amazing food trucks (both main dish and dessert!)
decorate a bandana for your dog
puppy dog crafts for kids
make your pup a work of art with ink-free paw printing
participate in the dog costume contest with prizes furnished by Southern Arizona Animal Food Bank
peruse local pet-related business/organization booths
let your pet play in ball pits with 100s of tennis balls
strike a pose in the Bark in the Park themed photo booth with printable photo strips!
bring packaged pet food for a drive to benefit the Southern Arizona Animal Food Bank
enjoy activities in the AC with the Pima County Library's staff and their dogs while learning more about their Read to a Dog program

Please keep in mind that dogs must be leashed (6 ft non-retractable leash) and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

Pet Food Drive Information:

Southern Arizona Animal Food Bank’s (SAAFB) vision is to create a world where no pet owner has to choose to surrender their pet because of food. We greatly appreciate food donations for most domestic animals, especially dogs and cats, and will accept open bags. SAAFB serves families in Tucson and the surrounding area. Clients make food requests online at https://saafb.org/. Requests are approved up to four times per year quarterly, with each request fulfilled equal to a month’s worth of food. All requests must be able to demonstrate that their pet is spayed/neutered (e.g., a receipt, picture, etc.). Food requests are coordinated for pickup twice a week. Monetary donations are also welcomed at https://saafb.org/donations/donation-form/ . SAAFB is a registered 501(c)3 located at 6212 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ (Speedway & Wilmot).
