Apply for Extended Construction Hours

Noise generated by construction, demolition, excavation, repair of heavy equipment or grading shall meet the following restrictions:

a. Concrete:

The pouring of concrete and all associated work may be conducted on weekdays between the hours of 4 am and 7 pm from May 1st through October 15 (6 am to 7 pm weekends) and between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm from October 16 through April 30 (7 am to 6 pm weekends), or, as authorized pursuant to an Extended Construction Hours Work Permit (ECHWP) issued under Oro Valley Town Code, Section 6-6-2.

b. All other construction:

May occur on weekdays between the hours of 5 am and 7 pm from May 1st through October 15 (7 am to 7 pm weekends) and between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm from October 16 through April 30 (8 am to 6 pm weekends), or, as authorized pursuant to an Extended Construction Hours Work Permit (ECHWP) issued under Oro Valley Town Code, Section 6-6-2.

Step 1.Submit the request online through the customer portal.

In the customer portal select:
- Commercial Building Permits
- Extended Construction Work Hours

Step 2.Required attachments include:

A map showing all properties located within a 500' and 1,000' radius, a complete listing of all owners and their addresses, and a copy of the notice you will send to owners. If you need assistance with the map, contact 520-229-4800 and ask for the building official administrative assistant.
