Oro Valley Phenology Trail Program
The Oro Valley Phenology Trail program is designed to monitor the seasonal changes in the flora and fauna of Oro Valley. This is especially important during our dry and current drought conditions. Reporting the findings to the Natures Notebook app and/or the picture version, best for younger budding scientists, i-naturalist, allows scientist to be informed and study the effects of seasonal conditions on our local environment. Both apps are available in your smart phones app store. Local volunteers are happy to work with groups, families or individuals to help them either learn what to watch for on the established three, short Oro Valley parks trails or begin monitoring closer to home, in their yards or along paths and desert areas near-by. Please reach out to Lynanne Dellerman-Silverthorn Ldellerman@orovalleyaz.gov to arrange a tour with Andrew and Joanne Hogan, our Phenology program ambassadors.
