Traffic delays on Ina Road at Westward Look Drive, May 22

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (May 19, 2025) — The Town of Oro Valley will perform traffic signal repairs at the intersection of Ina Road and Westward Look Drive on Thursday, May 22, 2025. The work will require intermittent lane closures and brief traffic stoppages throughout the day.
The project involves replacing a traffic signal pole on the northwest corner of the intersection. While the signal is out of service, the Oro Valley Police Department will be onsite to direct traffic through the Ina/Westward Look intersection.
The work will reduce westbound Ina Road to one lane with a 25 MPH speed limit. Traffic will be stopped periodically during crane operations.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and to please consider alternate routes. The project schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
Traffic impacts – Ina Road at Westward Look Drive:
- Work hours: All day (no restrictions during rush hours between 7–9 a.m. and 4–6 p.m.)
- Traffic safety: While the signal is out of service, OVPD will direct traffic through the intersection.
- Westbound Ina Road:
- Reduced to one lane, from west of 1st Avenue through the intersection
- Speed reduced to 25 mph between Yucca Via and 1st Avenue
- Intermittent full stops during crane operations
- Eastbound Ina Road:
- No U-turns at Westward Look Drive (left turns permitted)
- Westward Look Drive:
- Intermittent delays during crane operations
Message boards are in place along Ina Road (eastbound and westbound) and southbound Westward Look Drive to alert drivers in advance.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, drive cautiously, follow all posted signage, and watch for bicyclists, pedestrians, and workers in the area.
