ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (Dec. 13, 2022) – The Town of Oro Valley has just received notification that the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Town for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for fiscal year 2020/21.
Each year, the Town produces an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, which outlines the Town’s financial position and operating activities and includes audited financial statements. The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting is the highest form of GFOA recognition in the area of governmental accounting. To date, the Town has won this award 28 consecutive times.
“We are honored and grateful to receive this award from GFOA,” said Chief Financial Officer David Gephart. “It is reflective of the hard work and dedication of our staff to produce the highest standard of financial information for our residents and the public.”
