ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (Feb. 15, 2024) – Hundreds of residents and community members have provided more than 2,000 comments to help shape the Town of Oro Valley’s future. So far, mountain views, outdoor activities, and our great sense of community are highly valued.

There is still time and plenty of opportunities to help create Oro Valley’s Path Forward, the community’s next 10-year action plan.

The Town just launched the big community survey, available on OVPathForward.com. Take 10 minutes to impact the Town’s next 10 years by answering questions like:

  • Should Oro Valley be a bedroom suburban community or be more self-sufficient with additional opportunities to shop, work, live and play within Town limits?
  • Is it important for Oro Valley to be known as a family-friendly community?
  • With limited land that is allowed for development remaining, what type of land uses should Oro Valley focus on?

The survey is open through March 15. Community members can take it online or pick up a paper copy from Town Hall, the Community Recreation Center, Oro Valley Public Library, or with their water bill (OV Water Utility customers only). A print version of the survey will also be available in the Feb. 21 edition of the NW Explorer. To ensure the results are statistically representative, it will also be conducted via phone by FMR Associates.

Registration on OVPathForward.com isn’t required, but it is encouraged. Anyone may explore the website, watch short videos, and read the reports posted on the website; but registered participants can join the community conversations happening now.

This includes discussions about housing, economic development, public safety, traffic, and more. Community members can also identify areas on an interactive map, as to where road, bike, pedestrian, trail, or other safety improvements are needed.

OV’s Path Forward is the best opportunity to spark action in the community. The results from the survey, and feedback received in the community or online, will be used to establish the community’s vision, values, and goals for the future.
