Registration Open for Oro Valley Community Academy

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (August 31, 2026) – Do you want to know more about Oro Valley’s water supply, public safety, parks, and more? Registration is now open for the Town of Oro Valley’s 2026 Community Academy, a free, interactive program that gives residents an inside look at how local government works.

The award-winning academy will run from September 15 through October 21, 2026, with classes held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. While participants may join online, Town staff strongly encourage in-person attendance for the most engaging experience.

Community Academy offers residents the chance to connect directly with Town staff while exploring the issues, services, and planning efforts that shape Oro Valley. This year’s sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including financial stability, annexations, public safety, parks and recreation, water resource planning, economic development, tourism, roadways and more. It also provides a unique opportunity to explore OV’s Path Forward, the community’s 10-year action plan that will be on the ballot this November.

Residents interested in gaining a deeper understanding of Oro Valley and playing a more informed role in the community are encouraged to register now. Deadline to register is September 9.

Oct. 19: Beyond Community Academy and Celebration Dinner
Oct. 21: Graduation at Town Council for those who attend at least half of the classes
