ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (Feb. 5, 2024) – In April 2024, the Town of Oro Valley proudly marks its golden milestone, celebrating 50 years of history, growth and community — and you’re invited to be a part of it. Oro Valley's 50th Anniversary is a momentous occasion, and your participation and support will make it truly unforgettable.
"Come celebrate our 50th Anniversary with us! Your contributions will enrich our shared history and increase the spirit of Oro Valley,” said Mayor Joe Winfield. “Join us in creating lasting memories and honoring the essence that defines OV over the past five decades."
Several opportunities to participate and get involved include:
50th Anniversary Parade April 6, 2024
Highlighting the yearlong festivities is the parade on April 6, 2024, starting at 9 a.m. on Naranja Drive. This vibrant procession will showcase our residents and local community groups, symbolizing Oro Valley's incredible journey over the past five decades.
Join the parade! Whether on floats, vehicles, horseback, or walking with a group, your participation is most welcome. Express your enthusiasm by filling out the parade entry form or contacting parade@orovalleyaz.gov for more information.
50th Anniversary Community Celebration April 13, 2024
On April 13, 2024, the festivities continue at James D. Kriegh Park with the all-day community celebration starting at Noon. The festivities include a fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m., live entertainment, kids' crafts and games, food trucks, and a delightful selection of food and drink (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) available for purchase.
