Open call for entries: Oro Valley Battle of the Bands 2024

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (April 24, 2024) – High school musicians, are you ready to take the stage? Oro Valley Battle of the Bands is back at Riverfront Park, and song submissions are open until Friday, May 3.

The winning band will receive a free recording session with Luna Recording Studio! Second and third place prizes will also be awarded.

Submission process

Five high school bands will be selected to bring their musical talent to the stage at Riverfront Park.

• 50 percent of the band members must be in high school.
• It is preferred that bands submit an original demo; however, covers of songs will also be accepted. Bands should email the demo or a YouTube link to dhiatt@orovalleyaz.gov.
• The deadline to submit is Friday, May 3.

Selected bands will perform a three-song set on stage in front of a live audience.

The winner will be selected by a panel of judges: Luna Recording Studio owner Gary Nardo; Miss Oro Valley Latina Kyanna Rosario; the Oro Valley Youth Advisory Council; and a representative from the event’s sound company, Jonas Hunter Productions.

Event information

Battle of the Bands is returning to the Riverfront Park Amphitheater on Friday, May 17, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Riverfront Park is located at 551 W. Lambert Lane.

This is a free event. Food trucks will be on site with items available for purchase. It is recommended that attendees bring a lawn chair or blanket.
