ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (April 23, 2025) — The Town of Oro Valley invites residents to engage and learn more about the Town’s financial priorities.

The Town Council will hold Budget Study Sessions on Wednesday, April 30, and Monday, May 5, both at 6 p.m. The Budget and Finance Commission will review the budget on Tuesday, May 20, at 4 p.m. All meetings will be in Council Chambers at the Oro Valley Town Hall complex, 11000 N. La Cañada Drive.

These sessions are open to the public and help shape the financial framework for the upcoming fiscal year. Public input helps guide decisions that impact Town services, infrastructure, and long-term investments.

“This year, capital improvement projects and the Capital Fund will be reviewed April 30, and the Town operational budget will be studied May 5,” said Town Manager Jeff Wilkins. “These are five opportunities to engage directly in the Town of Oro Valley’s budget process.”

Based on Town Council priorities, the Town Manager is working collaboratively with an interdepartmental committee to develop a flat budget plan. They have been reviewing budgets line-by-line with each department director to formulate the Town Manager’s Recommended Budget proposal. The next two years present revenue challenges due to reduced projections for State Revenue Share with the Town.

Upcoming Budget Study Sessions and Public Hearings

  • Public Hearings are formal decision-making meetings, and residents are encouraged to participate by submitting a blue speaker card.
