ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (March 5, 2025) – The Town of Oro Valley, in partnership with the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Tucson Roadrunners, invites you to celebrate everything that makes Oro Valley great while supporting professional hockey in the desert!
Join us for Oro Valley Community Night on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 4 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center (260 S. Church Ave.).
The first 1,000 fans will receive a free St. Patrick’s Day-themed Roadrunners T-shirt, and Oro Valley Mayor Joe Winfield will take part in the ceremonial puck drop to start the game!

Event Highlights:
- Pre-Game Activities: A special St. Patty’s Day Party on the Plaza begins at 2 p.m. with live music by The Out of Kilters, and festive St. Patrick’s Day-themed activities including food, drink and green beer! Doors open for the hockey game at 3 p.m. with a St. Patty’s Day T-Shirt giveaway upon entry (for the first 1,000 fans).
- Community Showcase: Town of Oro Valley businesses and organizations will be showcased throughout the night, with informational booths highlighting Tourism, Parks and Recreation, the Oro Valley Police Department, among other OV businesses.
- Special Appearances: Several special guests will be in attendance! Mayor Joe Winfield will participate in the ceremonial puck drop, and Town Manager Jeff Wilkins will ride the Zamboni during intermission.
Celebrate Oro Valley pride and support professional hockey in the desert as the Tucson Roadrunners take on the San Jose Barracudas! This is a perfect night out for families, coworkers, and community groups!

Winning Partnership
This event is a collaboration between the Town of Oro Valley, the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Tucson Roadrunners, bringing the community together in a shared celebration.

Additionally, the Roadrunners organization contributes significantly to regional tourism, generating over $500,000 annually in economic impact through lodging, dining, and retail spending.
