Fall pavement preservation underway in Oro Valley
Published on September 17, 2026
Pavement improvements will take place across Oro Valley from Sep. through Nov.
ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (September 17, 2026) – The Town of Oro Valley is launching its 2026 fall pavement preservation program, with work scheduled on streets and in neighborhoods throughout Oro Valley in the coming weeks.
Work is generally expected to take place between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on scheduled days. Project timing may shift due to weather or field conditions. Residents and drivers are encouraged to check the Town’s Pavement Preservation webpage for the latest schedules, maps and updates.
Oro Valley’s pavement preservation program helps protect and extend the life of town roadways before more costly reconstruction is needed. Streets are selected using a data-driven process based on pavement conditions and prior treatment history. This effort demonstrates Council’s ongoing commitment to funding quality roads and infrastructure. By continuing to invest in preventative maintenance each year, the Town is able to maintain high-quality roadways and make the most efficient use of taxpayer dollars.
Drivers should plan ahead, follow posted traffic control signs and use caution around construction crews and equipment. Digital message boards will be placed in advance on major roadways, and other traffic control measures will remain in place during work.
Residents in neighborhoods scheduled for treatment will receive direct notice before work begins in their area. If trash or recycling collection falls on a scheduled workday, residents will be directed to place containers at a designated location outside the treatment zone for pickup.
For questions about the fall 2026 pavement preservation schedule, contact Public Works Department at 520-229-4850 or PW@orovalleaz.gov. General inquiries may also be sent to ask@orovalleyaz.gov.
