Submissions open for Oro Valley Battle of the Bands

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (March 30, 2023) – High school musicians, are you ready to take the stage? Oro Valley Battle of the Bands is back at Riverfront Park, and song submissions are open until Friday, April 14. Keep on reading to learn more about the submission process and event information.

Submission process

Five high school bands will be selected to bring their musical talent to the stage at Riverfront Park. To be considered:

• 50% of the band members must be in high school.
• It is preferred that bands submit an original demo, however, covers of songs will also be accepted. Bands should email the demo or a YouTube link to dhiatt@orovalleyaz.gov by April 14.

Selected bands will perform a 3-song set on stage in front of a live audience. Winner will be selected by a panel of judges. The winner will receive a recording session with Luna Recording Studio. Second and third place prizes will also be awarded.

Event information

Battle of the Bands is returning to the Riverfront Park Amphitheater on Friday, April 28 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. This is a free event, but food trucks will be on site with items available for purchase. It is recommended that attendees bring a lawn chair or blanket. Come on out and show the bands some OV support!
