The Town of Oro Valley and the Golder Ranch Fire District are joining forces to ensure residents are informed and prepared when it comes to fire safety. As wildfires remain a pressing concern in the western United States, Oro Valley and Golder Ranch are proactively addressing fire prevention efforts.
You're invited to attend the upcoming Wildfire Safety Community Q&A!
Event Details:
The event will feature a presentation from GRFD Fire Chief Tom Brandhuber, Wildland Fire Coordinator Captain Colin Port, and Fire Marshal Jennifer Akins. Fire officials will provide essential wildfire safety tips, discuss home protection strategies, and share valuable resources to help residents stay prepared. Following the presentation, community members will have the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with subject matter experts from both GRFD and the Town.
The event will also highlight the results of a recent wildfire risk assessment conducted for the Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve and surrounding areas, which determined a low risk for fire spread to structures in Oro Valley.
For general fire safety-related concerns, Oro Valley residents may contact Golder Ranch Fire District at (520) 825-9001 or visit GRFDAZ.gov.
