Next date: Friday, March 20, 2026 | 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Thistle Grass Weed Pulling Volunteer Event-60.jpg

Join us for a community Invasive Species Cleanup Day at the beautiful Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve! Together, we’ll restore native habitats by removing bufflegrass, Russian thistle, and other invasive species that threaten local wildlife and desert plants.

Our goal is to give native plants room to thrive again. Volunteers will help pull and clear invasive species along trails and open areas. Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before — we’ll provide guidance, gloves, and plenty of water.

Every pair of hands makes a difference in protecting our native desert landscape.

Sign up link will be provided shortly. If you are currently interested in signing up, please email jhynd@orovalleyaz.gov.
