Court Fines and Fees

Fines are monetary obligations assessed by statute or town ordinance.  Court fines may include fines, fees, surcharges and restitution.  The bond card given to you when you are cited for a traffic offense details the options available to you for meeting your obligations.

See: Bond/Fine Schedule Effective 1-1-2019(PDF, 64KB)

Fees are those monetary obligations that are for a specific service.  They are covered by statue and or town ordinance. An example would be attorney, research or default fees.

If you are required to pay fines, penalties, fees or other financial obligations as a result of a judgement of this court and you are unable to pay, bring this information to the attention of court staff or the judge because payments over time or other alternatives may be available.  Do not ignore your responsibility to pay, as this may result in additional penalties and costs to you.  For more information, contact the Oro Valley Magistrate Court at 520-229-4780 or an attorney.
