The Oro Valley Police Department is proud to offer the Are You OK? Program, a free service designed to support the safety and well-being of seniors, disabled persons, and residents living alone within the Town of Oro Valley.

Are You OK? provides participants with scheduled weekly phone calls from OVPD at a designated time. These check-in calls offer peace of mind by ensuring regular contact and a simple way to confirm that everything is okay. If a call goes unanswered after multiple attempts, an OVPD officer will respond to the residence to conduct a welfare check.

This program is limited to Oro Valley residents aged 60 or older and individuals who live alone.

Program Criteria

  1. Participants must live within the Town of Oro Valley.
  2. Participants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
    • Be at least 60 years of age or 
    • Live alone and have a medical condition that confines them to their residence or
    • Have any other circumstances deemed appropriate by the Community Resource Unit on a case-by-case basis. 
  3. Participants must complete the online application and liability waiver.
  4. Enrollment will continue until the participant chooses to withdraw or no longer qualifies.
