Biography:

Mayor Joe Winfield is a dedicated leader and advocate for his community. He completed his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Arizona and went on to have a successful career with the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service. Joe’s commitment to public service led him to several roles within Oro Valley’s local government, including serving a second term as mayor.

He is known for his integrity and fairness, engaging citizens, and stakeholders to ensure the town’s future aligns with the needs and aspirations of its residents. As mayor, he strives to maintain and enhance Oro Valley’s unique qualities while promoting progress and prosperity, making it a desirable place to live, work, and play.

Joe has been active in the Boy Scouts of America; he is an Eagle Scout, and his six sons are also Eagle Scouts. Joe and his family have been residents of Oro Valley since 1996. He and his wife, Mariann have seven children and 17 grandchildren.
