Pavement improvements occur throughout Oro Valley, March to May

ORO VALLEY, Ariz (March 11, 2026) – The Town of Oro Valley has begun pavement preservation work on various streets and in neighborhoods across the community from March through May as part of the Town’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, high-quality roadways.

Work is typically scheduled between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., though dates and timelines may change due to weather or other factors. Residents are encouraged to visit the Town’s Pavement Preservation webpage for the latest schedules, maps and project information. Drivers traveling through work areas should plan ahead, follow posted signs and use caution around crews and equipment. Digital message boards and other traffic control measures will be in place during the project.

This annual work helps extend the life of Oro Valley’s roads and protects the community’s investment in infrastructure. By applying preservation treatments at the right time, the Town can keep streets in better condition for longer at a significantly lower cost than full road replacement.

Oro Valley’s pavement preservation program is based on data and long-term planning. Streets are prioritized according to when they were last treated or originally constructed, helping ensure the Town addresses roadway needs proactively and efficiently. This approach has helped Oro Valley maintain some of the best roads in the region.

For residents in neighborhoods where work is underway, the Town will provide accommodations to reduce inconvenience whenever possible. If trash collection is scheduled during a neighborhood treatment, residents will be directed to place trash receptacles in a designated area outside the treatment zone for pickup. Residential areas affected can visit the FAQs portion of the Pavement Preservation webpage.

The Town appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation during this work and looks forward to continuing to provide safe, smooth and reliable roads for Oro Valley residents.
