One killed, one injured in car vs. pedestrian collision

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (March 17, 2023) - One juvenile girl was killed, and another juvenile girl was severely injured in a car vs. pedestrian collision. The collision occurred on Naranja Drive in the vicinity of Pomegranate Drive on March 17, just before 1:00 p.m. A dog that was being pushed in a stroller also died as a result of the collision.  Details on what caused the collision are being investigated by the Oro Valley Police traffic unit, detectives, and property/evidence technicians.

Due to the tragic nature of the collision, Naranja Drive was closed for several hours while the investigation was conducted. Details about the collision are not being released at this time, due to this being an ongoing investigation.
