OV Youth Advisory Council to host free finance workshops for teenagers

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (March 10, 2023) – The Town of Oro Valley’s Youth Advisory Council is hosting three upcoming finance workshops targeted to teenagers and their parents or legal guardians; however, the workshops are open to all ages.

The free workshops will be held from 2-3 p.m. and will be taught by a financial advisor with over 20 years of experience. The schedule is as follows:

Saturday, March 18
Topic: How to make a budget (and use a checkbook)
Oro Valley Public Library
1305 W. Naranja Drive

Saturday, April 22
Topic: How to pay for college
Oro Valley Public Library
1305 W. Naranja Drive

Saturday, May 6
Topic: How to think like a businessperson
Oro Valley Council Chambers
11000 N. La Cañada Drive

About the Youth Advisory Council
The Oro Valley Youth Advisory Council is a diverse group of youth advocates from several high schools in Oro Valley. Its mission is to develop the voices of Oro Valley’s youth, bridge gaps in the community, create and participate in public service projects and serve as a voice for youth in the Oro Valley town government.
