ORO VALLEY, AZ – The Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that its popular "Locals Eat Local" Oro Valley sticker hunt is officially underway, running throughout the months of June and July. Designed to support local restaurants during the slower summer season, this interactive campaign encourages residents to beat the heat while fueling the local economy.

As many seasonal residents depart and summer temperatures rise, local dining establishments often see a decrease in foot traffic. The "Locals Eat Local" campaign serves as an engaging incentive for community members to continue supporting their favorite neighborhood spots.

A Creative Collaboration

To make this year’s hunt extra special, the Chamber partnered with local muralist Ashley White to create 25 unique sticker designs. Each participating restaurant features a bespoke sticker inspired by desert flora and fauna, rendered in a stunning Art Nouveau theme. Residents may recognize White's work as the murals located at James D. Kreigh Park and the Oro Valley Community Center. All stickers were proudly produced by the local printer, Miles Label Company. To ensure everyone has the chance to collect these limited-edition works of art, we kindly ask participants to limit themselves to one sticker per person.

How to Participate & Win

While the artistic stickers are free for everyone to collect, the Chamber is encouraging residents to make a meaningful impact. Participants who download the Explore Oro Valley app and spend $20 at five different participating restaurants, for a total of $100 spent, will earn an exclusive "Oro Valley Local" prize. Available while supplies last, prizes include stackable stainless steel tupperware with a carrying case or an insulated canvas cooler lunch tote.

Tools for the Hunt

Residents can easily navigate their culinary adventure using:

  • Physical Maps: Available at each of the 25 participating locations.
  • The Linktree: Visit https://linktr.ee/ovstickerhunt for restaurant details, waiting games, and a digital "spinning wheel" to help decide where to dine next.
  • Social Media: Follow the Chamber’s social platforms for regular updates and location highlights.

Participants are encouraged to share photos of their sticker collection and dining adventures, making sure to tag the Oro Valley Chamber to join the conversation.

Proven Impact

Last year’s inaugural campaign generated a minimum of $14,700 in local sales, providing a vital boost that helps our restaurants remain vibrant and operational year-round. The Chamber hopes to beat that number this year after adding an additional five locations. "We're excited to bring this campaign back in an expanded version this year with 25 participating restaurants and 12,500 stickers. Last year's hunt generated thousands of dollars in local spending and helped people discover new local favorites. Ultimately, this campaign is about supporting our restaurants during the summer slowdown and reminding our community that every dollar spent within Oro Valley helps support local jobs, local families, and the businesses that make Oro Valley special" said Kristen Sharp, President and CEO of the Oro Valley Chamber.
