OV’s Path Forward recognized with two prestigious awards

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (Jan. 24, 2025) — Oro Valley residents’ commitment to shaping the community’s future is gaining widespread recognition! The Town of Oro Valley’s innovative approach to community engagement for OV’s Path Forward, the next 10-year action plan, has received both local and national accolades.
The Town has been recognized for its efforts to enhance participation and transparency:
- The Town of Oro Valley and its consultant, Gordley Group, received an Impact Award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Southern Arizona Chapter for outstanding community engagement.
- The Granicus Digital Government Award for Community Engagement recognized the significant number of resident contributions on OVPathForward.com.
These awards highlight the dedication and care OV residents have for the community.
Next Step: Resident Working Groups
Residents’ results have established a strong foundation for the second phase of this important effort to create the community’s next 10-year action plan.
Building on this momentum, the next phase of OV’s Path Forward is set to begin! “Phase 2: Let’s Think” will kick off on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025. This phase invites residents to turn the community’s collective ideas into action items.
Resident Working Groups will meet from February to May, focusing on a different topic each month. Examples include Town finances and services, transportation, development, water conservation, and more. Results from these meetings will be posted online at OVPathForward.com to ensure continued engagement.
