Important announcement for OV Water Utility customers

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (May 22, 2026) – The Oro Valley Water Utility recently consolidated its online billing and water monitoring services into the existing customer portal.

Here’s what you can expect from the new system:

  • Centralized self-service hub: One convenient login to manage your account, view usage and pay your bill without juggling multiple platforms
  • Usage visibility and leak alerts: See usage trends more clearly, forecast costs, and set personalized thresholds for leak alerts and service notifications.
  • Immediate access to your data: Get on-demand access to the details that matter most, like account information, usage history and billing summaries.
  • Self-service format: Submit common requests quickly and on your schedule, including move-in/move-out, contact updates and leak adjustment requests.
  • Multi-channel communication: Connect the way you prefer (email, text, in-app notifications, chat or phone) so you can get updates and answers through the channel that works best for you.
  • Responsive and accurate customer support: Support teams can resolve questions about bills, usage and service issues faster and more accurately.

Now that water monitoring and leak detection is available through the customer portal, the Utility will discontinue service with WaterSmart on June 30, 2026.

There are two ways to activate the “Smart Meters” tool in customer portal.

For customers currently enrolled on the customer portal.

Log into your customer portal, click on the “Smart Meters” option in the left-hand menu and follow the prompts to activate water monitoring on your account.

For customers NOT currently enrolled on the customer portal.

  • Visit OVAZ.gov
  • Click on the blue “Water Utility” button
  • Click on the yellow “Customer Portal Sign Up” button (or click here for a direct link)
  • Grab a copy of your latest water bill and fill out your account information
