Honeybee Hikes For Kids

These hikes will be guided by Parks and Recreation staff and will take place on 2 separate dates in September and will each have a unique theme. Each day will consist of 4 time slots (8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30; sing up for 1 time slot only per date) and each time slot will have a limit of 6 people. PARENTS if you wish to follow along on the trail with your child(ren) make sure to sign yourself up as well. Also, be sure to show up to Honey Bee Canyon Park 30 minutes before your hike time to take advantage of our awesome "pre-hike crafts"!

 

To ensure a safe and enjoyable hike, please make sure that each participant is bringing their own water bottle full of water, and a mask. Masks will be required at all times before and after the hike. Additionally masks will be required during the hike if social distancing can not be maintained. First aid kits and hand sanitizer will be provided by the Oro Valley Parks and Recreation Department.

 

HIKE INFO: 

  • .9 miles in total length (2 educational stops along the way).
  • Hike includes moderate incline and decline sections. 
  • Closed toe shoes are required.
  • Sunscreen and a hat are strongly recommended.
