Whatever your season, visit Oro Valley!

Summer time in the Sonoran desert is an exciting contrast of blazing hot days, and perfectly cool nights.

If you’re a morning person, then outdoor recreation is always an option, as mornings in the desert are perfect for hiking, running, cycling and golf. So if you’d like to lace up and hit the trails, get an early start and check out the trail system at Catalina State Park. Additionally, the Town of Oro Valley has more than 50 miles of trails and paths set against the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains. Want to learn more about our trails? Click here.

When the sun is out, beat the heat with a day at the spa, catch a movie or cool off at the Oro Valley Aquatic Center, where adults can enjoy two swimming pools, and kids will have a blast on the giant water slide and interactive splash pad. Teens will enjoy special dive-in movie nights, and every Sunday is $5 Family Fun Day, where the entire family (up to six people) gets in for just $5.  Click here for details, hours and fees.

When the sun goes down, so do the temperatures. There’s no better place for cocktails and dinner on the patio with a sunset view of the majestic Catalina Mountains. Click here to see our list of featured restaurants.

Whatever your tastes, Oro Valley has what you’re looking for this summer. Find out what’s happening when you’re in town by visiting our online calendar. See you soon!
