Update: High Visibility Enforcement (HiVE) for tomorrow cancelled

The Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) is cancelling its High Visibility Enforcement (HiVE) for tomorrow, February 22. 


High Visibility Enforcement (HiVE) February deployments

Oro Valley, Ariz. (February 1, 2017) – The Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) will continue its High Visibility Enforcement (HiVE) efforts during February on Oracle at the Magee and Suffolk intersections. OVPD hopes to increase awareness and reduce collisions related to inattention, following too closely and failing to yield to other drivers. 

OVPD will deploy motorcycle officers on the following dates:

Oracle Magee/Suffolk intersections:
Thursday, February 9: 7 – 10 a.m.
Wednesday, February 15: 4 – 7 p.m.
Wednesday, February 22: 7 – 10 a.m.
Tuesday, February 28: 4 – 7 p.m.

Motorists are asked to be aware of the additional enforcement activity and drive safely.  In addition to our regular enforcement efforts, OVPD motors will be continuing its distracted driving educational efforts #handsfreeov.
