Spotlight on Youth: Sabrina Ellis

Photo of Sabrina Ellis with Mayor Hiremath and Councilmember Snider

Sabrina Ellis is a senior at Ironwood Ridge High School, and she has a heart for helping others. She volunteers at the Catalina Clothing Bank and teaches Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at her church. Her community service work goes way beyond her contributions through Key Club and National Honor Society at Ironwood Ridge.

When she was little, Sabrina saved up her birthday money and donated it to the World Wildlife Fund. It’s no surprise that Sabrina and her family have a dog and a cat who are rescue animals.

Sabrina enjoys dance, softball and staying fit, but her priority is doing well in school.

She is an honors student who was recently accepted to both ASU and the U of A—but she hasn’t yet decided where she will pursue a business degree.

Sabrina is also a big help to her family at home. Both her parents work full time, so she does a lot around the house and picks her sister up after school each day.

It is clear that Sabrina is a bright young woman with a heart of gold, and we’re fortunate to have her in our community. Now we just need to convince her to study at the U of A so we can KEEP her in our community!
