Public invited to share input on strategic planning for 2019 and 2020

Oro Valley residents are invited to a public meeting on Tuesday, December 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Oro Valley Public Library Adler Meeting Room, 1305 W. Naranja Drive. The meeting will be facilitated by an Arizona-based consultant who will gather input about the community’s priorities for their local government for the next several years, and then share that input with mayor and council as they begin their strategic leadership planning process for 2019 and 2020.

December 4, 2018

Every two years, Town Council and senior management staff collaborate to develop a strategic plan. Grounded in the vision expressed in the voter-approved Your Voice, Our Future General Plan, this strategic leadership plan guides Town decision-making and resource management in pursuit of that vision. That collaborative effort will take place in January, over a two-day planning and goal-setting session. Community input from the December 18 meeting is an important part of that process.

We realize the holidays are a very busy time for everyone, so as a token of appreciation for your time, the Town will provide holiday desserts and coffee, and two lucky participants will go home with $50 gift cards to local restaurants.

While the Town frequently conducts community outreach activities to obtain input from residents and business owners, this meeting is specifically designed to help the newly seated councilmembers develop their Strategic Leadership Plan for the coming two years. We hope you will be able to attend.
