At its June 7, 2017 meeting, the Oro Valley Town Council approved the adoption of the final budget for fiscal year 2017/18, in the amount of $128.6 million; a $2.7 million, or 2.1% increase from the Adopted FY 2016-17 Budget totaling $125.9 million.

June 30, 2017

"This year’s budget was developed to support the voter-approved 2016 Your Voice, Our Future General Plan, and the subsequent Town Council-adopted 2017 Strategic Plan," said Mayor Satish Hiremath. "In addition, the Town reached out to residents again this year with an online questionnaire, asking them to rank their priorities in key areas such as public safety, parks, recreation and water. So this budget is a reflection of our community’s values and priorities."

The Town of Oro Valley understands that not everyone has the time or desire to peruse a massive budget document, so in order to make the budget more accessible, we publish a simple, two-page summary each year entitled, “Know Your Town’s Budget.” A quick review of this document will provide residents with an overview of the Town’s key revenues and expenditures, as well as a closer look at the services provided to the community, such as public safety and parks and recreation.
