Oro Valley seeking applicants for Budget and Finance Commission

Do you have a background in finance, accounting, banking, investments or other related business administration areas? Would you like to serve Oro Valley? Here’s your chance! The Town of Oro Valley is looking for five residents with experience in those areas to serve on its new Budget and Finance Commission.

The purpose of the commission is to provide the Mayor and Council with resident input as well as the evaluation of key issues related to the financial operation of the Town of Oro Valley. This is a new commission comprised of five members.

“The Town has always relied on its citizens to advise the Town Council.  Restoring this commission will provide another opportunity to tap into the considerable talent of our community to help the Council consider important financial issues,” said Oro Valley Mayor Joe Winfield.

Requirements
To serve on this commission, members must be residents of the Town of Oro Valley, be available to attend the designated meetings and be committed to the completion of the Town’s Community Academy within their term.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 31.
