The Town of Oro Valley Finance Department has received national awards for its Popular Annual Financial Report and for its Procurement Division.

The first award is for the Town’s Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for fiscal year ending June 30, 2014, from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

This is Oro Valley’s third consecutive year winning this award from GFOA for a creative and informative document which is designed to provide residents with a brief and easy-to-understand overview of the Town’s financial position.

Oro Valley is one of only six municipalities in Arizona to receive the PAFR award.

The second award is the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Award from the National Procurement Institute. This is Oro Valley’s eighth consecutive award for procurement. The Town is one of only 14 agencies in Arizona to receive the AEP Award.

"We are proud to receive both of these awards again for this past year,” said Finance Director Stacey Lemos. “These awards recognize the Town's commitment to enhanced financial reporting efforts and innovative and ethical procurement practices."
