The Town of Oro Valley Finance Department has earned the Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR) award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.

June 20, 2016

This is Oro Valley’s fourth consecutive year winning this award from GFOA for a creative and informative document which is designed to provide residents with a brief and easy-to-understand overview of the Town’s financial position.

The reviewers commented favorably that the PAFR allowed them to easily trace amounts (revenues and expenditures) to the Town’s larger, Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, and that the document was useful and visually appealing for readers.

“The Town’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is a very large document, and can be overwhelming,” said Finance Director Stacey Lemos. “The PAFR gives us a chance to create a concise summary of the Town’s financial position which will appeal to more residents. It’s a great communications tool, and we’re very proud to have earned recognition from the GFOA again this year.”
