Naranja Park access detour begins Feb. 18, Park users must use Musette Drive

February 11, 2020

Beginning Tuesday, February 18, access to Naranja Park will be detoured to Musette Drive (off of Tangerine Drive) at the park’s north entrance. No through traffic will be permitted at the Naranja Drive entrance to the playing fields, dog parks and other facilities. The Naranja Park archery range will be the only facility accessible via the Naranja Drive entrance on the park’s southern end. (See map below)

The reason for this detour is to allow Town personnel to continue preliminary site and infrastructure work related to the new Naranja Park playground. To kick everything off, the Town’s Public Works Department needs to divert a major drainage and then fill and grade the area where the park and parking lot will be located. Getting the dirt (and dirty) work done now will allow the playground to start coming together in May.

This new playground will include everything for kids ages 1 to 101, such as play areas, shade structures/ramadas, swings and an adventure tower (if you have the courage!) The Town apologizes for any inconvenience; however, the needed improvements are necessary to construct the infrastructure and playground. Thank you for your patience!
