Raised on a family farm in Yuma, Arizona, Sandra Montgomery has called Tucson home since graduating from the University of Arizona, with a  BA in Radio/TV. She had a successful career in Tucson in the media business including Tucson's Cox Communications.

Sandra is a self-taught artist, taking inspiration from a passion for gardening and the colorful landscape of the southwest. She looks for the unique and recycles old wood sash windows to paint her interests. Using Permanent Acrylic Sandra's painted windows adorn walls in homes, businesses and covered patios throughout the area and across the county. Sandra says, "My idea in painting on a window is to provide a view if you don't have one." Much of her art is in custom orders. She has painted customers' family home place from old black and white photos. Other paintings on canvas or an old window are from the customer's own vision.

Sandra keeps a stock of old windows at her studio. Windows salvaged from 1920-s-40's houses in the U of A and Barrio neighborhoods, are cherished finds. She paints on canvas, does watercolor, pen and ink and pastels. See her painted windows at Harlow Gardens Nursery in Tucson and Sweet Poppy Gallery & Design in Tubac, AZ. Sandra also does many fine art shows seasonally. She is an active member of the Tucson Museum of Art, the Drawing Studio, Sonoran Plein Aire Painters, Southwest Watercolor Guild and Tucson Botanical Gardens.
