The Town of Oro Valley continues to actively work with local, state, and federal partners to mitigate the presence of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in our region. In accordance with direction implemented today by the federal government to restrict the gathering of groups of more than 10 people, and in an effort to take a regional approach to this issue, Oro Valley Parks and Recreation will be taking additional steps to protect employees and the general public.

Beginning Wednesday, March 18, the Oro Valley Aquatic Center and the Oro Valley Community and Recreation Center (including the Overlook Restaurant) will close until further notice. These closures also include all aquatics, youth programs, spring break camps, fitness classes and any other programs provided by Oro Valley Parks and Recreation.

Refunds will be issued for any cancelled programs. Please be patient as our staff works to process all accounts. Parks and Recreation will also suspend all fitness and aquatics memberships, effective March 18, and will provide notice to members prior to reopening. No additional automatic billing will be incurred during this time. Staff has reached out to members with additional details. If you have billing or membership questions, please email recreation@orovalleyaz.gov or call 520-229-5050.

El Conquistador Golf is still open for business. Member golf and daily fee play are still available; however, staff is suspending large group events and shotgun starts. Food and beverage will be limited to grab-and-go options.

All Oro Valley parks, trails and paths are still open, but please adhere to guidelines for social distancing and no groups larger than 10 people.

We will continue to assess the situation and update the public as information becomes available. For more information on cancellations related to COVID-19, please visit www.orovalleyaz.gov/COVID19.
